Brechin Beavers Summer Splash 2023
To be held on, Thursday, 22nd June 2023, 6.00-8.30pm.
At Brechin High School Pool

Events:
10&U 50m free, bk, br, 25m fly and 100m IM
11/12 50m free, bk, br, fly and 100m IM
13/14 100m free, bk, br, 50m fly and 100m IM
15-18 100m free, bk, br, fly and 100m IM
Masters 100m free, bk, br, fly and 100m IM
NB:
1. 10&under;under breast and fly will be judged with relaxed World Aquatic* rules. A
two-handed simultaneous touch is still required at the finish.
2. All other strokes and finishes will be judged according to World Aquatic* rules.
3. Swimmers are encouraged to attempt all 4 strokes but can withdraw from
individual strokes if they wish.
4. 100 IM is an individual medley consisting of 25m each of fly, back, breast and
free, in that order.
5. The 100IM is an optional extra and should only be entered by swimmers in the
top lanes of L2T and all T2T swimmers. If you are not sure ask your coach.
*FINA has changed its name to World Aquatics. They govern the rules for all Aquatic sports.
Swimmers should sign up on the Brechin Beavers website and tick whether they
would like to swim the 100IM. https://www.brechinbeavers.org .
Closing Date for Entry is Wednesday 21 st June at 18:00.
All swimmers should be ready to swim by 6.15. They should bring a cap and a pair of
well-fitting goggles, (spares are always useful) a full water bottle, an extra towel to dry
off and a t-shirt to keep warm between races.
Volunteers will be required. Timekeepers, judges and marshalls.

Spectators will be allowed, but please sign up on the Brechin Beavers Website.
https://www.brechinbeavers.org Spectators should bring poolside shoes. No outdoor
footwear will be allowed on poolside. No photography or use of mobile phones will be
allowed on poolside and spectators should remain in the seating area. Specatators are
also reminded that silence is required at the start of all races.
